"Water Can Hollow a Stone" is my first solo released EP. Whilst baring similarities to the last two releases it draw heavily from the 1970's New York 'no wave' scene and the modern experimental doom genre. Focusing on crushing and oppressive percussion, distorted guitar and bass, haunting strings and vocals, and spoken word sections that punctuate the emotional and aesthetic tones of the pieces.

The project started with two purposes.

One was as creative means of catharsis for some of the personal struggles I had been through during the last year. Between the exhaustive impact of the pandemic and my mothers battle with cancer I had found myself struggling with the album I was working on prior. Instead I needed to focus on something that more accurately reflected my personal state so as to help work through the emotional impact of these events. Whilst the work is deeply personal I hope that others can also relate to the music and find some catharsis in both the tracks and the overall narrative of the EP.

The second was as a means to raise money for The Black Heart, an alternative bar and venue in London that is an incredibly significant part of the local scene, that has run into financial difficulties as a result of the pandemic and is facing closure.
